Carnival is one of the most awaited celebrations of the year in Brazil. What does "Simioni's Carnival" mean to you, and how do you usually experience this time?
Many people may think I’ve always been part of the revelry, but the truth is, I’ve never been one for crowds, parties, or drinking. My Carnival has always been more peaceful—traveling, enjoying the countryside, and resting... But now, everything has changed! I’ve discovered the grandeur, the spectacle, and the art behind this celebration. Today, I am part of this universe, and I can say: the "Simioni Carnival" is pure dedication, emotion, and passion for the avenue!
Have you always been passionate about Carnival, or did this connection grow over the years? How did this strong involvement come about?
I was never really connected to Carnival because I only saw the side of parties and excess, and that never attracted me. But when I had my first real contact with the culture, the energy, and the spectacle that Carnival represents, it was a shock! The passion came all at once. Today, I understand that Carnival is much more than it seems. It's art, tradition, emotion, and surrender. I'm completely in love with it!
What are the most memorable moments you’ve experienced in Carnival? Any unforgettable experiences?
Every moment as a muse has been an explosion of emotions! From the first rehearsal to the backstage, samba lessons, costume fittings, and the energy of the people... Everything is memorable! But stepping onto the avenue during the rehearsals was surreal. Only those who live it know what it’s like to feel your heart beat to the rhythm of the drums. It’s something that sends chills down your spine and transforms you forever!
Carnival is synonymous with energy, sparkle, and intensity. How do you prepare physically and mentally to make the most of it?
I’ve always been very disciplined with my body, but now, the game has changed! I’ve intensified my training, adding cardio to my routine, and focused even more on building endurance because holding the samba on the avenue requires preparation! Mentally, I’ve thrown myself into it: studying, training, connecting with the history of Carnival… I want to live this with authenticity, and that requires much more than just a prepared body – it has to come from the soul!
Do you have any ritual or tradition that must never be missing from your Carnival? Something you make sure to keep every year?
Since this is my first Carnival within this universe, I don’t yet have any rituals... But something tells me that, after this experience, one might emerge! Maybe a spiritual ritual, maybe something more symbolic... I’ll let time show me.
For those who dream of experiencing Carnival the way you do, what would be your best advice to live this celebration to the fullest?
Throw yourself in! For real, without fear! Carnival is not just about glitter and parties, it’s about living intensely, feeling the energy, and allowing yourself to fully experience it. I threw myself in body and soul, stepped out of my comfort zone, and today I’m living one of the most intense moments of my life. So, if you truly want to experience it, dive in headfirst and without fear!
