How Nike’s first-ever partnership to launch a new brand promises to redefine activewear through innovation, performance, and inclusivity.
Nike has long been synonymous with sports innovation, but 2025 marks a groundbreaking moment: the launch of NikeSkims, a brand born from its partnership with Kim Kardashian’s Skims. More than just a collaboration, this venture blends athletic performance with the shapewear that has taken the world by storm.
This bold move comes under the leadership of Elliott Hill, who took over as Nike’s CEO in September last year, bringing with him a clear strategy to reposition the brand. NikeSkims signals this new direction, appealing not only to athletes but also to women seeking comfort, functionality, and style both in and out of the gym.

Focused on high-intensity workouts like HIIT and treadmill running, NikeSkims promises to deliver pieces that enhance the female form while maintaining the high-performance standards Nike is known for. “This partnership brings together the best of both brands to revolutionize the industry with innovation and inclusivity,” says Heidi O’Neill, President of Nike. Jens Grede, CEO of Skims, adds, “We are setting a new standard in activewear.”
NikeSkims will go beyond apparel, offering footwear and accessories designed with insights from the Nike Sport Research Lab and powered by Nike’s digital ecosystem, which connects the brand to millions of women worldwide.

“Every detail was designed to cater to women of all shapes and sizes,” says Kim Kardashian.
Kim Kardashian’s involvement is far from incidental. Skims has not only redefined shapewear but also cemented its presence in sports, having designed the undergarments for Team USA at the Tokyo Olympics and becoming the official underwear provider for the NBA and USA Basketball. With NikeSkims, that presence expands, merging the fitness and streetwear worlds into collections poised to dominate both gyms and streets.
The first NikeSkims drop is set for Spring 2025 in the U.S., with a global rollout planned for 2026. More than just a collection, this partnership represents the future of activewear: inclusive, innovative, and bold. And if there’s one thing Nike and Kim Kardashian do best, it’s setting trends.
