In the vibrant fashion scene of Milan, the Prada runway show took the spotlight on the second day of this season's fashion week. Under the joint creative direction of Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons, the Italian fashion house presented a collection that didn't aim to philosophize or tell stories through the clothing, but rather to celebrate the craftsmanship, techniques, and the value behind them.

Dedicated to Craftsmanship and Technique

"We didn't want to philosophize or propose stories about clothing," said Miuccia Prada. Instead, the designer duo focused on showcasing the art of fashion creation. The collection was a tribute to craftsmanship and technique, highlighting the process behind the garments. Models strutted in pastel organza dresses that billowed in the air, while prints were frayed into fringe and occasionally joined by eyelets. The ethereal pieces were balanced with sturdy work jackets and hand-embroidered panne velvet dresses.

Just like in Prada's men's fashion show earlier this year, the chosen setting was equally intriguing. The stage was divided in a thought-provoking manner, reflecting a unique and divisive aesthetic.

Opinion of Matheus Hooks (Fashion Director):
"The Prada runway show at Milan Fashion Week stood out not only for its stunning fashion but also for its approach to honoring craftsmanship and fashion techniques that often go unnoticed. Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons continue to push the boundaries of fashion, reminding us all that clothing creation is a form of art, a celebration of human skill and creativity. This collection is a testament to Prada's ongoing commitment to innovate and inspire in the fashion industry."
