The 'ARABIA' edition of Hooks Magazine features Yasmin Miranda as its latest cover star, an international model and influencer who has captivated the fashion world with her authentic and inspiring journey. Her career began eight years ago with the creation of a fashion tips blog, and Yasmin has always viewed fashion as more than just an aesthetic choice: to her, it is a form of expression, an intimate connection between generations and cultures. It is this vision that propelled her to stand out on a global scale.

However, Yasmin’s path wasn’t always lined with success. The pressure of being a rising influencer brought profound personal challenges, leading her to face a critical moment in her life. As her online career rapidly grew, Yasmin found herself immersed in a constant work rhythm, where the expectation to always be present and flawless on social media became overwhelming. This imbalance led her into a battle with depression, and she made the decision to completely step away from the internet for a year.

That time away from the digital world was transformative. Yasmin found refuge in silence, away from the spotlight, where she could focus on her mental, physical, and spiritual health. “Taking care of the soul, the body, and the spirit” became her mantra. By disconnecting from the virtual world, Yasmin rediscovered real life—the one that doesn't depend on follower counts or likes, but on authentic moments and genuine relationships. This period allowed her to reconnect with her essence and regain the balance that now guides her life.

Returning to social media, Yasmin came back stronger and with a fresh perspective on what success truly means. She now values genuine connection with her audience, understanding that being an influencer goes far beyond aesthetic standards. Her time away also made her realize the importance of deconstructing old beauty standards—something she actively promotes in her career, showing that being an influencer is not about fitting into a mold, but about being authentic.

Today, Yasmin maintains a carefully planned routine that helps her balance both her professional and personal life. Planning, according to her, is essential in preventing the chaos of travel and professional commitments from affecting her well-being. This balance reflects not only in her personal life but also in her style, inspired by her travels around the world. Among her favorite destinations, New York and Riyadh hold a special place in her heart. The vibrant energy of NYC and the rich Arab culture of Riyadh directly influence her fashion choices, blending traditional elements with modern touches.

For Yasmin, success in an influencer career is not just about aesthetics or online presence, but about a genuine connection with people and, above all, with herself. Her advice for those who wish to follow in her footsteps is simple yet powerful: it requires study, dedication, and, most importantly, authenticity. She believes that the beauty of social media lies in the possibility of deconstruction—of standards, preconceived ideas, and unattainable expectations.

Check out the exclusive interview:

1: How did you start your career in the fashion world, and what inspired you to pursue this path?

I started 8 years ago with a blog about fashion tips. Fashion is a form of expression and stirs people's emotions. For this reason, it reflects different eras and generations. Every day, when people dress, even if it's not a fully conscious process, they show a bit of themselves. That’s why I chose this path.

2: What are the most significant challenges you've faced working as an international model and influencer?

I've faced many challenges working abroad. Professionals get the chance to sharpen their adaptive skills, leadership, and problem-solving abilities. Additionally, living in a multicultural environment fosters the expansion of emotional intelligence.

3: With so many travels and commitments, how do you maintain balance between your professional and personal life?

One of the best ways to keep professional life separate from personal life is by planning your routine and sticking to it strictly. Planning is everything.

4: Do you have any self-care routines or practices that help you stay confident and healthy in your daily life?

Yes, I do, especially because I had depression and stepped away from the internet for a year to take care of myself and find my balance again. I believe we should always take care of the soul, body, and spirit. 🙏🏻

5: What are your favorite destinations around the world, and how do they influence your style and fashion choices?

There are so many places, but my favorites are NYC and Riyadh. I love Arab culture and find the fashion there incredible.

6: What advice would you give to someone dreaming of building a career as a global model and influencer?

Like any other profession, it requires study and dedication. You don't just need to be beautiful, and you no longer have to fit into a certain mold to be an influencer. Thankfully, that's being deconstructed. It's important to learn how to connect with your audience and build a genuine relationship with them.
